History in the making:

The twinning of Waterford's two Cathedrals, The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity(1793-1796), Baronstrand Street, and The Cathedral  Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, 'Christ Church Cathedral'(1774-1780), Cathedral Square Waterford, took place on January 25th/26th 2014, marking the tercentennial anniversary of the birth of the Architect for both Cathedrals, John Roberts. Matins took place at 10am on Sunday 26th January in The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, followed by Candlelit Choral Evensong at 4.30pm in The Cathedral of the Holy and Undivided Trinity. The Irish Georgian Society established a chapter of the Society in Waterford to promote the unique twin catedrals both nationally and internationally.
